A pinch of cyanide II

Another Epiphaneous Episode...

As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being.
-- Carl Jung (1875 - 1961), "Memories, Dreams, Reflections", 1962

To be conscious that we are perceiving or thinking is to be conscious of our own existence.
-- Aristotle (384 BC - 322 BC), Nichomachean Ethics

Be faithful to that which exists nowhere but in yourself - and thus make yourself indispensable.
-- Andre Gide (1869 - 1951)

How does one exist? How can he make himself appear material to those around him? And in what hell made
me ponder on this fact?

Lets face the facts, Man fears to become forgotten. It is in each one of us. We all have it. Its the common drive in us all that provokes us to make our mark on the world. We just do it in our own individual way but nevertheless, we do it. We do not want to be forgotten. It is a side effect to man's mortality. The fact that one day our own flesh will cease to function drives us to do all we can to make our mark in others, in our works, and in the world.
Man is often too busy existing to actually realize why he exists. Call it an epiphany if you will but I dwelled upon this as I saw the people around me.

The only way to exist is to make others feel that they do exist. It hit me in the head that God did not intend for you to exist just to be loved by
others, God created you for the sole purpose of loving
others. It does not matter how many gifts you receive on your birthday. What matters is that your loved ones DO get one on their birthday. In that single act, you eliminate their fear and nothing is more valuable
to a person than knowing he/she is remembered. It supports the reason
why we all search for our beloved "one". The someone that will never forget about you
and will give you a right to exist in their memories day and night.

My conclusion?
We do not exist to be loved by others. We exist to love our self and others. It is how we materialize our existence and If we are given the privilege, in others we could exist.
